Ecologically conscious design
Tade Pays de Levant began when Thaddee de Slizewiez, a geographer fascinated by history, visited the Near East. From this land bathed in ancient tradition, Thaddee returned to Marseilles with the mythical olive oil soap, the natural mild soap made from laurel oil and and dead sea salts.
Over the past ten years Tade has developed many beautiful products, with ecology and fair trade an integral part of the vision. Ecologically conscious design and sustainable raw materials remain at the heart of Tade's business today.
Tade works directly with craftsmen, giving priority to traditional skills and choosing only 100% natural ingredients. All soaps are 100% ecological and guaranteed to be without any chemical product or synthetic derivative. They are not tested on animals and are made in conformity with fair trade requirements.
The inspiration for Tade's wonderful soaps is the heat and steam of the 'hamman' or Turkish bath. And as the Queen of Sheba and Cleopatra would attest, olive oil and laurel oil soap is one of life's great, natural luxuries!
More recently Tade has developed a beautiful range of recycled tyre products, including a recycled tyre planter, a recycled tyre trug, a recycled tyre stool and a recycled tyre beaker.
