Sarah McIntyre studied aromatherapy at the London College of Aromatherapy in 1986 and since then has been on a mission to develop a range of certified organic skin care products made solely of plant extracts.
At the heart of Sarah’s products is sea buckthorn, which is an extraordinary thorny bush indigenous to the Himalayas and Siberia. It has beautiful orange coloured berries with medicinal and nutritional benefits which have been recognized for thousands of years. The berries contain 190 nutritional compounds, omegas 3, 6 and the rare 7 and unsurpassed levels of vitamins A, C and E. Not surprisingly it is now the focus of considerable research in Europe.
Sea buckthorn not only has nutritional benefits but also economic benefits for some of the world’s poorest communities. Eselle buys its sea buckthorn oil from the Sea Buckthorn Development Programme in the Mustang region of Nepal. The project serves to safeguard the biodiversity of Nepal and to provide a sustainable income source for local people.
St Johns wort is also a key ingredient for some of Sarah's products. Her natural balm for overworked muscles benefits from its anti-inflammatory properties.
