Local artist who works with willow, hazel and rush

Clare is a dab hand at making wonderful plant supports and trellises out of natural, locally coppiced materials. The plant supports and trellises are made from hazel poles bound together with young willow withies. Bath mats, waste paper baskets and table mats are made with rush.

Clare coppices in the woods locally and bundles up the birch for Mark Cottrell's brooms and the willow and hazel for her trellises. She loves being outside and when she's not working likes to walk her 3 dogs in the woods.
