El Salvador is a small country in Central America, with a humid and warm tropical climate. Salvadoreans use hammocks as beds, because the are cooler and a lower cost alternative to a traditional matress. They are used by adults, youngsters, children and babies and hung anywhere in the house, but frequently on corridors.
