Tips for using garden party lanterns:
- They look best in straight lines for example surrounding a garden shed or driveway, or randomly dotted through a flower border. They are particularly effective amongst perennials that are around 1m tall.
- The easiest way to light a garden party lantern is to pop nightlights into the lanterns and then to strike a match, lift the glass cylinder, light the nighlight and then replace the cylinder. If it is windy, you may need someone to provide wind protection with their hands while you light the nightlight.
- The stakes are not very heavy so do not need to be inserted very deeply into the ground. However, it is clearly important that they are in enough so that they will not topple over.
- The stakes are metal and will therefore withstand bad weather, however, they will rust if left outdoors for prolonged periods so we recommend bringing them indoors after use.
