This is the classic folder panama hat with a ridge along the centre designed to make folding easy. This style of panama is also know as optimo or colonial and has long been favoured by the British.

This panama hat is hand woven in Ecuador from toquiila straw and finished to a very high standard in England. The weave is classified as grade 3-5 in the Cuenca grading system, which means it is fine enough to retain its shape after folding. However, for long term storage we recommend that the hat be stored unfolded in the box supplied.
