Traditional cast iron apple press with sustainable oak staves. It is simple to use, easy to clean and immensely satisfying. Get all the family involved and in a couple of hours you should have 25 litres of your very own fresh apple juice. Full instructions included.

The cage has capacity for 24lbs of crushed apples which are pressed by turning the handle. This forcess the juice out between the oak staves. When all the juice has been pressed, the oak cage can be removed and the apple waste added to your compost heap.

This press is designed for use with a stainless steel apple crusher. The apple crusher sits on the oak cage and has a cast iron wheel which is easily turned to pulp the apples. The apples are best quatered before being added to the crusher, but small apples can be added whole. Delicious juice can be made from dessert apples, cooking apples or a blend of the two.

We like to add half a teaspoon of citric acid to each litre of juice to help it last. If you're not going to drink the juice for a couple of days it is best frozen and then thawed as and when you need it.
