Tips for using tall garden lanterns:
- They look best in lines for example surrounding a shrubbery or driveway, or randomly dotted through a flower border. They are particularly effective amongst perennials that are around 1m tall.
- The easiest way to light a tall garden lantern is to pop a nightlight into the lantern and then use a taper to light the nightlight. If it is windy, you may need someone to provide wind protection with their hands while you light the nightlight.
- The stakes are not very heavy so do not need to be inserted very deeply into the ground. However, it is clearly important that they are in enough so that they will not topple over.
- The stakes are metal and will therefore withstand bad weather, however, they will rust if left outdoors for prolonged periods so we recommend bringing them indoors after use.
