We believe there is always a better way to do things. The way we do things now is fine, but it’s the excitement of doing things better that gets us up in the morning.
Which is how the dribber came about. It struck us that if we could combine the virtues of a rake head (which we use for making drills) with the virtues of a dibber (which we use for dibbing) then we might have something new and worthwhile. Not that the world is crying out for a new potting shed tool, but at least by combining two tools into one we might lighten the gardeners (carbon) footprint. And if we could do so elegantly in sustainable hardwood, then we might have the sort of product that people would like to have around, to hold and to give as a gift.
So we did some sketches that showed different prong arrangements, shapes and sizes and then produced a prototype. And we are thrilled with the result. We know to some cynics its only a strip of wood with four prongs, but to us its a beautiful, practical tool that we think will be valued by gardeners for many years to come. And it might even mean a better way of doing things.
