Description
There are many different ways of cleaning muddy boots. There is the boot scraper which is good for big clods of earth but not so good for getting into the treads, there is a hosepipe and brush which is good if you have the time but can leave you soaked, or there is this boot brush which we find is the best all-rounder. If you’re the sort of person who is forever toing and froing from the garden, then this brush should make your life easier.
Made from sturdy wire with coconut fibre brushes for the soles and sides of your boots. A quick couple of swipes of each boot usually does the trick.

Meet the Producer
Gernot Redecker
Brush and broom maker in northern GermanyFriedrich Redecker was born in northern Germany in 1908 and started going blind from the age of four. In those days making brushes was the standard trade for the blind, so that is what Friedrich set about doing. Only he was more successful than most and built a small brush and broom making business that supported his family and continued until his death at the age of 71.
After Friedrich’s death his youngest son Gernot took on the responsibility for winding down the business, but instead of bringing the business to a close discovered there was such high demand for the brushes at local fairs that he decided to expand.
Several decades later Fredrich’s son Felix has now joined the business and the range of brushes and brooms has expanded considerably. As well as having a reputation for very high quality products, the family is also famous for its innovation, which happens at their dedicated ideas workshop. Their focus is on blending modern contemporary design with traditional materials and crafts.
