  • Description

The population of butterflies has significantly declined in recent years, so they need all the help they can get.  This butterfly biome is a place for butterflies and moths to feed and roost.  The interior space can be packed with twigs and bark to provide space for hibernating and roosting, and the fold down tray has two dishes, one for a sugar water solution and one for food such as mashed banana.  This food will also be a welcome snack for early bumblebees if the weather turns cold.

The biome should be positioned at ground level or up to 1.5m high in a sunny, sheltered spot.

Includes full instructions, a guide to common butterflies and a pack of native wildflower seeds that produce nectar for butterflies.

Made from durable timber that is FSC certified.

    Height 24cm
