  • Description

Sweet Chamomile is a low-growing cultivar with sweet smelling foliage. It's also the plant used for chamomile lawn. The daisy-like flowers are used for chamomile tea, but only if you don't trim your lawn.

This herb loves the sun and any well-drained stone-free soil. The feathery foliage has an apple aroma when crushed. The Latin name translates to 'apple of the ground'.

Eco-friendly: This plant has been grown in peat free soil in a biodegradable pot made from waste coir with natural latex.

To make a lawn, good soil preparation is needed before planting and all weeds and large stones should be removed carefully. Individual plants should be placed 10 - 15cm apart for quick coverage. After their first water the plants should not be over watered, except in very hot weather, as prolonged periods of being kept in wet soil can cause them to rot.

Handmade from ethically sourced natural waste materials, these herbs in hairy pots produce a superior root system and reduce the use and disposal problems of plastic pots.
The coir fibres used in the pot construction are a waste product of the coconut industry and they are bonded together using latex from the local rubber trees in Sri Lanka.
Each pot is individually hand crafted and dried in the sun.

    Height and spread: 50cm x 20cm
