  • Description

The best shears we know for routine gardening jobs like pruning and dead heading.  They also make light work of topiary and edging.

Heart shaped handle gives a soft squeeze for maximum comfort over prolonged use.

Hand forged from the finest high-carbon Sheffield steel to ensure long term sharpness.

Blade length 13cm, overall length 29cm

Great garden accessory for slicing through new growth, soft foliage or wet material which defeats lesser tools. Its no good expecting ordinary secateurs to do it they were designed specifically to cut through woody material and will just chew up anything soft, leaving ragged, unsightly and unhealthy edges.

These shears, with their razor sharp blades will slice through soft stuff like butter and whats more, theyll keep doing it long after other similar tools have blunted.

The harder the steel the longer it keeps it's edge (much the same as an 'H' pencil keeps it's point longer than a 'B'). The key to hardness is a high carbon content and precisely controlled heat treatment where the steel is heated to an exact temperature for a specific time, giving it a hardness of 54-56 Rockwell. This makes it more expensive than, for example mild steel, but the quality of the blades is far superior.
