  • Description

This is an ingenious propagator made from recycled yoghurt pots that includes seeds and compost. To get started simply place the two compost bombs in the propagator end of the pot, add hot water to hydrate them and once cooled, sow the basil seeds. By placing the clear lid over the seeds a greenhouse environment is created so, whether you have green fingers or not, your seeds have the best chance of germinating. Next place the pot in good daylight and water every few days to keep moist.

Once the basil plants have grown to about 4 cm, carefully remove the seedlings, flip the pot and replant into the main pot, bulking out with your own soil. The clear lid will now become a little watering jug for the seeds. The propagator can then be reused year after year with new seeds.

    15cm diameter, 21cm height
