  • Description

When we create gifts or collections of seeds we look for inspiration from vegetables that have stood out from the crowd, that have excelled either in the allotment or the kitchen. For the Purple Patch we have selected two varieties that are stunning in the vegetable plot and two that are invaluable in the kitchen, all of which are purple when picked.

The purple peas and aubergines will be the stars of any allotment.  The peas offer a wonderful display of dark purple pods in mid-summer and the aubergines are an exotic Mediterranean plant that our warmer summers now allow us to grow.

The broccoli will provide a delicious ‘cut and come again’ crop when veg is expensive in the late spring and the turnips are a versatile compact crop that can be eaten raw or cooked, early or mature, leaves and roots.

Includes four packet of seeds in a gift box with sowing instructions.
